1st Game 10.30

Since 1992 teams og three players have competed in the International Tournament, twice a year in spring and autumn.

This spring the competition is being held again at West London Go Club on Saturday 22nd April 2017.

The intention is to have two divisions allowing both strong and weaker teams to participate. Strongest and weakest team members should be no more than ten grades different and teams must represent a location, preferably a country (tenuous links allowed) or alternatively a go club. A team’s captain should be indicated with a ‘(c)’.

Entry fees will be no more than £10 per player payable on the day (less if there is a large entry). There will be three rounds with 45 minutes for each player, sudden death. Board number (1-3) will be assigned in order of strength.

We will apply a handicap only where one or both players in a game have kyu ranks, based on grade-difference.

The time limit will be 45 minutes sudden death. It is a round robin tournament, komi will be 6.5 points.

Prizes will be awarded and the trophy (see below) presented to the overall winners .

As usual we shall start the registration at 10.00 on the day though we would prefer you to pre-register so that we can start the first games at 10.30 prompt.

It is planned that the event will finish around 17:00, after which there will be opportunity to play further friendly games, followed by dinner at 18:00.

The lunch break is at 12:00. The venue will be serving a selection of snacks, refreshments and alcoholic drinks for you to purchase. Please do not bring your own food and drink.
The event is sponsored by Central London Go Club, Nippon Club and the Young Chelsea Bridge Club
